Welcome to Social Learning!
In our learning centre we hope to help our students to be come more ‘well rounded’ individuals by helping them realise that there are global issues that affect their lives and the lives of others on an everyday basis. Through learning thematically about past and present events we aim to create a culture of understanding that as ‘Global Citizens’ we have certain responsibilities as users of this planet.
The subjects within the learning centre offer students opportunities for creative development as well as the chance to improve core literacy skills through reading, writing and research. Our students learn to communicate ideas through individual study as well as collaboration, helping to develop personal identity through the expression of their own beliefs.
