Key Stage 4

Building on the skills acquired at KS3, students follow a course leading to a GCSE in Citizenship.
 
The KS4 curriculum is divided into 3 sections
 
REVIEW:
 
Revisiting Issues studied in KS3, with an emphasis on Human Rights for the first 2 Terms.
 
CONTROLLED ASSESSMENT:
 
This is worth 60 % of students marks and students are expected to spend 37 Hours, researching, planning and evaluating their own Citizenship Campaigns. Currently; we look at the issues surrounding the Age of Criminal Responsibility.
 
GCSE:
 
Covering a wide number of Issues from Employment Law to Human Rights, students develop the skills they need to interact within our modern society. Emphasis is put upon being an active Citizen, and knowing what your rights are now and in the future.
