What is GCSE Psychology?
This course has been designed to give you the chance to study Psychology at an introductory level whilst giving you a rounded knowledge of approaches, processes and issues within the subject.
What can I do with it?
Well, you can of course go on to study Psychology at AS and A-Level and then on to study it at degree level, which is extremely popular. There are many career prospects within Psychology but the skills acquired in the subject are also transferable to many other careers. It is an academic subject and a great qualification to have if you want to work with people.

Unit B541: Studies and Applications in Psychology – 1 written paper worth 40% of your overall mark.

Unit B542: Studies and Applications in Psychology – 1 written paper worth 40% of your overall mark.
• Biological psychology: criminal behaviour
• Cognitive psychology: perception
• Developmental psychology: cognitive development
• Social psychology: non-verbal communication
• Individual differences: the self
Unit B543: Research in Psychology – 1 written paper worth 20% of your overall mark.
