Welcome to Student Support!

Welcome to the Student Services department. Within Student Services we support students with additional learning, English as an additional language, behaviour and emotional needs within Learning Support 1, 2 and 3.  Together we provide a holistic approach to meeting your child’s individual needs by adopting a variety of strategies and liaising closely with a number of agencies.

Alongside the Learning Support departments, the other members of the Student Services team provides additional pastoral support through the Heads of House, the two Pastoral Co-ordinators and the Attendance Officer. In addition to this we have the Careers and Aim Higher Advisor who supports students with work experience and vocational courses. The Learning Support team links closely with these other members of the Student Services team to provide an all inclusive individual package for your child.

On the website you will find some resources to help support your child at home such as; subject specific spellings, writing frames, stimulus for creative writing and useful websites for literacy, numeracy and much more! There are also websites connected to students with specific needs such as Dyslexia and Autism where you can find further information and support for yourself and your family at home, if you would like.
